Pantone’s 2019 pick spells this season’s ultimate bridal beauty

We’re livin’ la vida coral, and it’s a marvelous way to waltz down the aisle! Living Coral is Pantone’s Color of the Year, and it’s a match made in heaven for the modern bride. She may be sweet, but she knows how to party. Like the big day’s leading lady, this standout shade is equal parts feminine, dynamic, vibrant, and versatile. Most of all, coral as a splash of color translates gorgeously across all skin tones. Get the scoop on Living Coral.
Lit and Loving It : Coral brings a warm flush to the skin. Complement that with a highlighter that can lend an extra glow. A champagne or gold highlighter can help skin look more sun-kissed, while a pale pink or rose gold one can appear a bit more luminous. Target the tops of the cheeks, inner corners of the eyes, and the cupid’s bow to brighten things up.
Sweet Cheeks and Lush Lips : A rule of thumb for harmonious cheeks and lips is to select a blush and lip color that match. This is harder to pull off with bolder colors, like red or fuchsia. But that’s not the case for coral. Peachy-pink blushes are a dime a dozen, and the trick is to make sure that both your lippie and blusher lean towards the same side of the warm-or-cool spectrum.

Get Those Gloss Goals : Luscious lips are back with a vengeance, so give the flat matte lipsticks a little rest. Swipe on some coral lip gloss or top a coral lipstick with clear gloss for an instant plumping effect on the pout. You may now kiss the bride’s juicy lips!
See That Sparkle : While coral is already popularly associated with youthful looks, go the extra trendy mile with a touch of shimmer. Peachy or coral sheer and shimmery eye shadows have been a staple in K beauty for years as they can light up the eyes while looking effortless.
Smoke Gets in Your Eyes : Inversely, another testament to coral’s adaptability is how it can go from light and luminous to softly smoked out without looking stern. Since the shade goes well with neutrals, it’s easy to contour the eyes with the standard browns and beiges first, then follow up with a gradient of coral’s various intensities.
